These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the home inspection services and website provided by Alden Home Inspections ("Alden Home Inspections," "we," "us," or "our"). By requesting a quote, scheduling an inspection, or using this website, you ("you" or the "Client") agree to these Terms.
Alden Home Inspections provides visual, non-invasive home and property inspection services, including buyer's inspections, pre-listing inspections, radon testing, wood-destroying organism (termite/WDO) inspections, thermal imaging, 4-point and wind mitigation inspections, new construction and warranty inspections, and related services as described on our Services page.
A home inspection is a visual examination of the readily accessible systems and components of a property at the time of the inspection, performed in general accordance with a recognized Standards of Practice (such as the InterNACHI Standards of Practice). An inspection is not:
The inspection and written report reflect the condition of the property only at the date and time of the inspection.
Inspection fees are quoted based on the property's size, age, location, and the services selected. Payment is due as stated at the time of scheduling or by the completion of the inspection unless otherwise agreed in writing. Cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.
You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the property and its systems. Areas that are inaccessible, obstructed, locked, or otherwise unavailable at the time of inspection may be excluded from the inspection and report.
The inspection report is prepared for the exclusive use of the Client who ordered it and may not be relied upon by any other party without our written consent. All report content, this website, and our materials remain our intellectual property.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability arising out of or related to an inspection is limited as set forth in the pre-inspection agreement you sign for that inspection. Where no such agreement applies, our aggregate liability shall not exceed the fee paid for the inspection giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
This website is provided for general information. Instant quotes and scheduling tools may be provided through third-party services (see our Privacy Policy). We strive for accuracy but do not warrant that all website content is complete or error-free.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Maryland.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent version. Continued use of our services or website constitutes acceptance of the current Terms.
